Neil Jetter has 20 years experience as a patent attorney with a focus on patent application preparation and patent application prosecution. Jetter has rare multi-disciplinary technical degrees in material science/chemistry and in electrical engineering (a Masters) that enables understanding complex technology and generally quickly grasping the true inventive features, as well as a high-level of technical expertise in handling diverse and interdisciplinary technologies. Jetter has advanced patent prosecution experience that results in reduced client' prosecution costs and application prosecution time, while generally obtaining the broadest claim coverage possible. Jetter has a long-term proven track record of outstanding client service and a high level of consistent client satisfaction, including client satisfaction reflected in 2 long-term Fortune 100 clients that have each been consistent clients for > 10 years. .


Jetter’s experience also includes IP counseling including patentability opinions, freedom to operate analyses, reexamination, and helping to plan and manage patent portfolios.  The technologies handled include, but are not limited to, algorithm-based inventions, semiconductor ICs and semiconductor processing, packaged IC devices and assembly, sensors and controls, surveillance and reconnaissance systems, simulation systems, sensors and gauges, power generation, telecommunications, radar, consumer products, optics and acousto-optics, and material science. 

Prior to being admitted to practice law Jetter previously worked at General Instrument Corp. as an advanced development semiconductor process engineer, then at RCA Corp in their Solid State Division as a semiconductor process engineer. Jetter then worked at Harris Corporation ifor over eight years, first as a process engineer, then later as a linear circuits product engineer which included packaging and test responsibilities. Jetter is the sole inventor of U.S. Pat. No. 4,881,010 entitled "Ion Implantation Method and Apparatus."
